Name: Martin Depper
Driver Number: #30
From: Kings Norton
Date of birth: 5th July 1968
Originally a motorbike fan from early age, Depper's passion for racing originally came from following the BSB, Moto GP and World Superbike series.
After being introduced to four-wheel racing by a friend, Depper made his racing debut in the John Cooper Challenge in 2005 – taking podiums in his maiden season and igniting his hunger for competitive racing.
After winning the overall drivers title in 2008 and taking fourth overall in 2009, Depper set his sights on the BTCC. Making his Touring Car debut in a BMW 320si with championship newcomers Forster Motorsport, Depper achieved a best finish of 12th during his six rounds of competition.
Two seasons competing in the VW Cup and VAG trophy followed, with Depper celebrating podiums finishes, before his return to the BTCC in 2014 as part of the Pirtek Racing team line-up. A move to the Eurotech Racing team for the 2015 and 2016 seasons saw Depper achieve a career-best finish of 5th in the Honda Civic Type R before announcing his move to Motorbase for his 4th full BTCC season.
Depper's move to the Wrotham-based squad was announced at the Autosport International Show – confirming his place in the newly-formed 'Team Shredded Wheat Racing with Duo' line-up alongside Mat Jackson and Luke Davenport.
